The Healing Power of Food


The body's best healing mechanism is wholesome food. From Diabetes to Multiple Sclerosis, our bodies can heal themselves through our diet. I am so passionate about this concept because I read stories everyday about people who suffered from disease, but healed themselves with diets full of raw nutritious food sources.

Humans are sick today mentally and physically because of over-processed food that lacks key nutrients for the body to function at the optimal level it was meant to. Everyone is searching for a miracle drug to cure cancer. Guess what??? Those miracle cures and prevention methods are all around us! In the super market, waiting for us to consume them. Foods like blueberries, walnuts and spinach to name a few, have antioxidants, phytonutrients and vitamins to help our body guard itself against disease.

Mentally, people are stressed beyond belief and reaching for the next drug to ease the pain. The pain has been enhanced by chemical ridden foods and over-consumption of inflammatory substances like sugar, milk, alcohol and caffeine. We need t stop fueling our bodies with products that increase our stress level and feed our bodies with nutrient-dense food that can actually calm our minds and improve our focus and well-being.

I challenge you TODAY to look at your diet and see what you can improve on to improve your health. Celebrate your strengths because they are your stepping stones to better health and a better life. Now go out there and enjoy the abundance of natural healing that we were all given :)
