Avocado Protein Ice Cream


This low-carb and low sugar treat is perfect for hot summer days! 
Can be made with whey or vegan protein powder and it's a great macro friendly snack for an after dinner dessert. 

*This recipe makes 1 serving.







Ingredients:

- 3/4 cup Almond Coconut Milk Blend 
(you can use any milk of your choice, the consistency of this one is great for an ice cream)
- 1/2 Avocado 
- 1 scoop Protein Powder 
( I used Banana Diesel Isolate, you can use any flavour of your choice!)
- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder

Blend in magic bullet or blender until smooth. 
Pour into a small bowl or container that holds at least 2 cups. 

*Optional: Top with a few chocolate chips

Freeze for 45 - 60 minutes and Enjoy!

Banana Cacao Ice Cream

Banana Cacao Ice Cream

This is a delicious vegan friendly ice cream that you can make in 5 minutes! A perfect way to cool down after a workout or enjoy on a hot summer day!



For a single serving:

-1 frozen banana (cut into chunks)
-1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
-1 tbsp Arbonne Chocolate Shake Mix
-1/2 tbsp cacao nibs

Blend all ingredients in a small blender or food processor until smooth. Pour mixture into a cereal bowl, the consistency should be like frozen yogurt.
*Optional: sprinkle granola on top (my favourite is chocolate Love Crunch or Cascadian Farms!)

Strawberry Protein Pancakes

Strawberry Protein Pancakes

Happy Canada Day with this seasonal recipe! Picked these strawberries a few days ago and it made a fun & healthy Canada Day treat :)



Mix following ingredients in medium bowl with large spoon:

-2/3 cup (gluten-free) quick oats
-1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
-1/3 cup egg whites
-2 scoops vanilla whey protein
-2 tsp baking powder
-sprinkle nutmeg


While the oats soak into the liquid for the batter, slice 5-10 strawberries.


Pour batter on to cooking sprayed frying pan set on medium heat. Lay strawberry slices on top of pancakes in the pan. Cook both sides until golden brown for about 1 minute each side.

Serve with maple syrup or your favorite jam or nut butter.

Makes approximately 10 pancakes or 3-4 servings :)

Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail

Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail




***Approximately 15 calories!


-1/4cup low-calorie apple juice
-1/2 cup cold water
-1 tsp apple cider vinegar
-sprinkle of cinnamon
-1 packet stevia sweetener (optional)
-2-3 ice cubes

Put all ingredients into a glass, stir, drink up!
Makes one serving.

Avocado Ice Cream

Avocado Ice Cream

-1/2 peeled avocado
-1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
-1 tbsp cocoa
-1 scoop whey protein

Peel and mash avocado, add remaining ingredients and stir with fork until smooth. You can also use a blender if it does not get smooth enough. Pour mixture into a zip lock container or bowl. Freeze, covered/sealed for 30-60 minutes.

Homemade Iced Tea



Homemade Iced Tea

3 herbal tea bags (mixed berry, blueberry green tea and ginger peach are my favourites)
3 packets of Splenda or Stevia
8 cups water
Ice cubes

Boil water on stove and add the tea bags. Let the tea bags brew in water for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, take off of heat and stir in sweetener. Let tea cool. Pour into pitcher with ice and serve!
